We were under the illusion that much of the pandemic was behind us. No matter! We are back online with all our energy this winter. You will be able to connect to our classes through Zoom in two ways: buying the flowers and materials yourself according to a list that we will send you in advance; or ordering the whole pack from us. In addition, we will send you a video giving you tips on how to buy the flowers and how to prepare them when you get home. Where to buy them? The ideal place to buy them is in the markets of each city. There the prices are cheaper. We have recommendations to give in Madrid, Barcelona and some Latin American capitals.
The online classes have been a success that accommodates students who cannot travel to Madrid. There are people who call me because: how can you learn floral design through a screen? I confess that we made the leap to computers out of necessity. And to my surprise, it worked! With good teachers, methodology, good command of the cameras, and a limited number of students. Thus, there are former students who have opened their companies after doing the Professional Program only with classes through Zoom. Voilà!
The flower courses or workshops last two hours that fly by. The basics you need are a large table, a good internet connection, wireless headphones, flowers, vases, water, and scissors. During the Professional Program, we are online for four hours a day. With a half-hour break for a snack. I always say that to design you need energy - florists don't sit down! To get a clear view of what they are creating, you have to stand up and step away from time to time to notice proportions, etc.
Finally, the Online Professional Program has gone beyond the borders of Spain. Our last student was from Lima, Peru. In the midst of riots, strikes, and a tense political environment, she managed to go out in search of flowers and foliage to make her arrangements. Her final work was a black and white table. A self-imposed challenge because the colors are not so common. A beauty!
